Know what's fun about the quarter system here at UW? I still have almost two whole months of summer vacation left while everyone else I know pretty much starts school in the next few weeks. This quarter is going to be downright hectic because I have to finish my last few non-major classes and start on my senior elective courses. I'm technically signed up for six classes for a total of 18 credit hours but two of the courses aren't "real" classes. I'm taking an intro class on biochemistry (BIOC 405), an honors class about communication technology and politics (COM 407A), and four bioengineering classes. One of those classes (BIOEN 402) is my capstone project and the other is for departmental honors (BIOEN 498A). The other two classes are on medical imaging (BIOEN 420) and synthetic biology (BIOEN 423). I have no idea how much work this will be and on top of it I have to work on my capstone project. I'm really looking forward to the medical imaging and synthetic biology courses just because the topics are intriguing.
