By now you've no doubt seen the new iTunes 10 and the atrocious logo it's rocking. I'm really not a fan of the current trends in Apple application icons (see Quicktime X). Every logo update has been in favor of a more cartoony feel rather than the professional style of the original icons. Obviously there's nothing we can do to stop these changes but you can always revert to the old ones by changing the icon. If you want the old iTunes (pre-ruining) logo then you can download it from this link: http://bit.ly/oldituneslogo
This method will only work on a Mac. Open the zip archive and Right-Click > Get Info on the expanded file. Click on the icon at the top of the Get Info screen to select it (should have a light blue outline) and copy (Command + C). Now Get Info on the new iTunes application in the Applications folder, select the icon the same way, and paste the copied original icon (Command + P). If you did this right, then you should be rocking the old-school iTunes logo on the new iTunes 10. Of course, anytime you update the application the icon will probably get messed up and you'll have to reapply the switch. Obviously you'll eventually get used to the new logo and stop worrying about how lame it looks. But until then at least you can hide it for a while.
